EMILY FREEMAN (Jack’s Mother/Acting Intern) just finished her first year at Elon University where she studies BFA Acting and Arts Administration! She is ecstatic to be spending this summer as a college intern with the fabulous Infinity Theatre and will also be appearing as ensemble and Pam/Arlene understudy in BABY. She was last seen on this very stage as Fiona (SHREK THE MUSICAL) with CTA, so it feels very special to be making her professional debut in the same space. Other favorite roles include: Morticia (THE ADDAMS FAMILY MUSICAL), The Witch (INTO THE WOODS), and Hedy LaRue (HOW TO SUCCEED…). Ana Marcu

Ana CroppedANA MARCU (Rapunzel/Acting Intern) is a senior Musical Theater major at Syracuse University (SU), originally from Medford, OR. She is thrilled to join Infinity Theatre Company and also appeared as Lori & Katie understudy in RING OF FIRE and will be appearing as ensemble and Lizzie understudy in BABY. She most recently played Tammy in Syracuse Stage’s production of HAIRSPRAY and Lucille in SU Drama’s production of PARADE. She also recently appeared as Ilse in SPRING AWAKENING (SU Drama), Bridget in TRANSLATIONS (SU Drama) and in MARIA DE BUENOS AIRES (Syracuse Opera). Other Regional Credits include THE MUSIC MAN (Oregon Shakespeare Festival). You can see her next as ensemble and Kate understudy in SU Drama’s KISS ME KATE, and Tiger Lily in Syracuse Stage’s production of PETER PAN.

Jacob Shipley

jacob croppedJACOB SHIPLEY (Jack/Acting Intern) is thrilled to be making his Infinity Theatre debut where he was also the Silas & Spiff understudy in RING OF FIRE and will be appearing as ensemble and Danny understudy in BABY! He is a rising junior at Ithaca College, studying musical theatre. Previous professional credits include THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS (Edsel Mackey/Aggie) and LES MISERABLES (Army Officer) among others at the Mac Haydn Theatre in Chatham, NY. He has also worked with RWS & Associates. At Ithaca, Jacob has been involved in productions of FAR AWAY (Todd), THE GOOD PERSON OF SETZUAN (Unemployed Man/Policeman/Musician), and MACBETH (Male Swing). Thanks to Michael Cassara, Robin Colwell, and Anna and Alan Ostroff for this incredible opportunity.

Alex Smith

Alex Smith CroppedALEX SMITH (Shelley/Rapunzel’s Hair/Acting Intern) is stoked to make his Infinity Theatre debut. He will also be appearing this season as the Doctor/ensemble and Alan understudy in BABY. Alex is currently a student at Baldwin-Wallace University’s Music Theatre program in Cleveland, Ohio and was recently involved with a regional production of YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN (Igor) with a production ANGELS IN AMERICA: MILLENNIUM APPROACHES (Roy Cohn) in the works for this fall. When not performing, Alex is usually playing an instrument, watching a movie, or making an awful pun. He would like to thank his parents for all their love and support, his professors and friends at Baldwin-Wallace University for constantly pushing him to do great things, and the incredible people here at Infinity Theatre for the opportunity to be a part of their summer season.

Tommy Iafrate

TOMMY IAFRATE (Director/Choreographer) is a stage director, musical director, arts educator, and pit musician. Tommy earned his MFA in Directing from Western Illinois University, where he directed such productions as SHE LOVES ME, TARTUFFE, THE GLASS MENAGERIE, MAURITIUS, and DOG SEES GOD. He previously earned his BA in Musical Theatre and Physics from Rhode Island College. During the summer, Tommy is the Artistic Director of the Clinton Area Showboat Theatre, a summer stock company in Clinton, Iowa. His productions on the Showboat include INTO THE WOODS, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, EVITA, BYE BYE BIRDIE, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, and THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE. He has previously served as the Artistic Director for Kaleidoscope Theatre, an inclusive touring company specializing in theatre for young audiences. A professional musical director and musician, Tommy has worked on seven productions with Goodspeed Musicals, including their tour of PIPPIN with Micky Dolenz, and three Royal Caribbean cruises. Some favorite musical directing credits are RENT, ALTAR BOYZ, FOOTLOOSE, and THE FULL MONTY. He has vocally coached students for auditions that have earned them Broadway contracts. Also an actor, Tommy’s favorite performance experience was in Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall’s CABARET, a show with which he performed regionally and toured the United States, Canada, Korea, and Japan. Tommy is a proud member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and The Golden Key International Honour Society and an associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.

Alan Ostroff

ALAN OSTOFF (Book and Lyrics) had his first play, TRADITION, produced in the 2006 NYC Fringe Festival.  His other children’s plays are THE TALL TALES OF ENOCH and STORIES LIVE AND IN PERSON.  JACK VS RAPUNZEL is his first musical, and he is very grateful to Robin for producing it, as well as to Clayton for being the Thompson to his Aarne.  Alan is Co-Producing Artistic Director of Infinity Theatre Company.

Clayton Colwell

CLAYTON COLWELL (Composer) is from Tucson, AZ. His music has been heard on ABC-TV, Comedy Central, and Cartoon Network. He has written songs for the international music group Up With People and numerous children’s theater productions (Arts-For-All, Infinity Theatre Company). He lives in New York City.

Robin Cannon Colwell

ROBIN CANNON COLWELL (Producer) played The Mute in Infinity’s 2010 production of THE FANTASTICKS and is proud to be a part of the Infinity Theatre family. Robin discovered a passion for arts education in 2005 while working for the Berkshire Theatre Group, where she had the opportunity to direct, choreograph, and teach students of all ages as well as perform in multiple TYA productions. Robin currently teaches theatre, music, and movement in New York City, and is a children’s entertainer, performing at birthday parties and live events as Captain Robin (along with her hot pink guitar, Pinkerton). Since 2009, she has served on the fundraising committee and acted as Program Manager with Arts For All – a non-profit arts outreach organization in NYC. Robin was the Producer for Infinity’s productions of PINOCCHIO and THE EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES, and directed THE EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES last fall for Arts For All, which toured to over 3,000 children in NYC. Most recently she co-wrote and directed the premiere of an original TYA work entitled YUKI AND THE ELEPHANT. Robin holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from The University of Mississippi and is currently working towards her Masters in Educational Theatre at The City College of New York. Member Actor’s Equity.

Amanda Beckett

AMANDA BECKETT (Stage Manager/Stage Management Intern) recently graduated from CUNY Lehman College with a BA in Theatre and minor in Multimedia Studies. She has been a stage manager and assistant stage manager for productions such as PRETTY BABIES, BEGINNINGS: A NEW PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL, BETTE DAVIS AIN’T FOR SISSIES, EAST TO EDINBURGH FESTIVAL, and IN THE HEIGHTS. She was also a PA for HANK WILLIAMS: LOST HIGHWAY at Infinity Theatre Company during their 2014 season and is excited to be working with them again.

Kevin Slattery

KEVIN SLATTERY (Technical Director/Audio Engineer/Technical Intern) is a rising Senior Mass Communications major at York College of Pa. He is from Annapolis and went to St. Mary’s High School. He has experience acting at York College (Sydney in ABSURD PERSON SINGULAR, Bert in COMING APART) as well assisting with lighting, sound, and set builds during the last three seasons at Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre. He is excited for his first production here with Infinity Theatre!
